Faith...

I'm not sure that I'm really ready to post yet, but I probably should...This has been a month of changes and trials, tears and laughter, stress and peace.

Some of you have probably heard by now that I have left The Springs.  This decision was not an easy one to make as I was really looking foward to the summer and what summer always brings at camp, however, I really felt like God was calling me away, and so of course, with a stubborn heart, I wrestled through the decision and went with what I felt God was calling me to do.  I have since moved home, and started work at Leppinks again.  Not my ideal job, and it actually isn't really paying the bills either, but God is providing this month, and I know that as long as I'm faithful He'll provide each of the following months after that too.  As far as finding a teaching position, well...things here look pretty dim as far as teachers are concerned, but I'm holding out that God has something amazing instore for me.

That is really all I have for now.  I'm searching and praying, hoping that God will provide just the perfect thing for me to do this summer and then this fall.  Those things may be the same, or different, but I'm excited and scared to find out!

I hope to see some of you at the highly anticipated wedding of the year, Aaron and Brittany will soon be Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Kohns!  I can't believe it, this year has gone so fast, it seems like yesterday they were talking about what date to use, and here it a week from today!  I can't wait!  Anyway, I hope to see some of you there, and if not, I would love to hear from you!  May God pour out His blessings on each and every one of you.

Changes

It's been awhile and so I thought that I should update to let you know that I'm still out here.  We've all been busy here at camp.  Things are starting to pick back up, we have our first registration in and a second on the way!  It looks to be a really fun season, and we should have many beds filled this summer.  Anyway...

My mom got a puppy!  I'll be sure to post a picture later.  Her name is Peanut and she and Bella get along really well, they are the best of friends already.   She's a fox red lab and she's beautiful.  I was home last weekend and I taught her how to shake hands.  She's great for my mom and I'm really thankful to my aunt and uncle who gave her the puppy.  She's a wonderful addition to our family.

Derreck and Theresa Jewell and their children have been officially hired  on as full time staff and will be moving into our old house.  I've officially moved to the nurses station at camp.  We remodeled and recarpted, gave it a bit of a facelift, and it actually doesn't look too bad!  I'm a bit excited to not be living in the office anymore, I'll actually not be a work the entire day, I think that this will be great.  We moved the office too though...so i suppose Nicki, Meredith and I couldn't have fit in the program office with the office equipment...right   , Anyway, it's been a long hard two weeks, and I'm ready to sit back and relax.  I hope that next week will return to it's normalcy and I can have some time to just regroup and hang out with some friends here at camp.

All in all, the changes have been great.  I don't know that anyone initially thinks that though.  I suppose I should get moving.  I have to be at work soon and I still have laundry to do.

I hope that this post finds you all well.  I would love to hear from some of you soon, or better yet see you, stop on by the camp for a visit!  I pray that God is pouring out His blessings on your lives, and that you are sharing those blessing with the world.

Stretching

Do you ever wonder how far God can stretch you before you break?

I've been reading Job on and off for a while now and it seems like God gives Job blow after blow and Job just keeps taking the hits.  Sometimes I feel that way too.  All the little things add up to big things in life and after a while you wonder when enough is enough.  What is God trying to teach you and are you not listening?

I'll be starting the resume process all over again in the next week or two, sometimes it feels like a hopeless process, but I know that if I am faithful to God that He's going to be faithful to me.  Pray with me that God will give me direction and that I'll be listening and paying attention well enough to hear Him.  Pray that I'll not become weary in well doing and that I'll seek the face of God for my every need.

Gal. 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Jer 32: 17 Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstreatched arm.  There is nothing too hard for you.

Home safe and sound...

After a wonderful time in North Carolina I am finally back in Michigan, at The Springs.  At some point in the week I realized that I needed a vacation from my vacation, but other than that I had an amazing time.  They kept us running, but it was great fun and we got to do so much and see so many people.  I am looking foward to seeing Britt, Aaron, Jesse, Mary Alys, Amanda and Paul in Michigan soon, as well as many of you at the reunion.  Thanks to everyone that made our time great!  I am looking foward to seeing where next year takes me and wondering if I'll find myself in NC teaching.  Please pray for me and God direction for my life.

I hope that this post finds you all well and looking foward to celebrating our Saviors birth.

A post so soon you say...I realize that it hasn't been my token month or more, but it isn't every day that you find yourself in North Carolina with great friends, having a blast.  We arrived safely on Saturday evening and Nicki, Paul, Brittany, Aaron and I were able to go to church Sunday morning.  It's been a great vacation so far and we still have until next Sunday! We've been doing a lot of catching up, but tomorrow we are going all over Greensboro shopping and what not.  On Tuesday evening we are heading to the beach and then staying all day Wednesday.  I'm really excited and feeling very encouraged about the possibility of living here and teaching next year.  I'm praying and would love it if you would too.  I hope that this post finds you all well.  I'll see some of you very soon.  If not then have a great Christmas and a very happy New Year.

Krista
